Lt Col among six soldiers martyred in Waziristan gun fight with terrorists

– A fierce gunfight between security forces and terrorists in North Waziristan claimed the lives of six Pakistan Army personnel, including Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaokat. In retaliation, security forces killed six terrorists during the operation, according to ISPR.

The military's public relations wing, ISPR, reported that the clash occurred in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan. Among the martyrs were Lance Naik Muhammad Allah, Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman, Lance Naik Shahidullah, Lance Naik Yousaf Ali, and Sepoy Jameel Ahmed.

Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaokat, aged 43, who hailed from Faisalabad, was leading the operation against the terrorists. The other martyred soldiers belonged to Khyber, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Orakzai, and Swat.

ISPR reiterated the army’s resolve to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan, stating that the brave soldiers' sacrifices will only strengthen their determination to eliminate this menace.
