🔹 About the Role
Save the Children is seeking a Health and Nutrition Advisor to provide technical leadership and oversight for its national programs. Reporting to the Director of Influencing & Impact, the advisor will ensure high-quality implementation, innovation, and scaling of evidence-based health and nutrition interventions.
The role involves frequent field visits, capacity building, program quality assurance, donor engagement, and strategic input for program design, policy influence, and expansion into community-based services.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and technical oversight of health and nutrition programming
- Ensure quality proposal development and fundraising aligned with Save the Children's Country Strategic Plan (CSP)
- Provide technical backstopping to field teams and partners on interventions like iCCM, CMAM, IYCF-E, MIYCAN, and SBCC
- Collaborate with MEAL teams to strengthen program evaluation and learning
- Represent Save the Children in national and regional forums, technical working groups, and strategic partnerships
🎯 Required Qualifications
- MBBS + Master’s in Public Health
- Minimum 7 years of experience in health and nutrition advisory roles or program management
- Strong expertise in iCCM, CMAM, IYCF-E, SBCC
- Excellent skills in proposal writing, strategic planning, capacity building, and field operations
- Familiarity with child safeguarding and cross-sector program integration
✅ Preferred
- Knowledge of Cash Programming, SGBV, and MHPSS
- Experience promoting child participation in programming
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and safeguarding
