In an exclusive interview with a magazine alongside her second husband, Adil Haider, actress Javeria Abbasi opened up about their relationship and marriage. Adil revealed that he first met Javeria at a friend's gathering and was smitten at first sight, unaware that she was a well-known actress in the entertainment industry.
"I fell in love with Javeria during our first meeting," Adil shared. "Our friendship blossomed slowly, but it took me three years to convince her to marry me." He noted that their wedding was delayed due to his previous marriage and social challenges, adding, "Otherwise, we would have tied the knot much earlier."
Javeria also shared insights about Adil, mentioning that this is his second marriage as well. His first marriage ended in divorce, and he has children from that relationship. She explained that while they developed a bond before her daughter Anzeela's wedding, her daughter's marriage was her top priority. "I decided to marry Adil only after my daughter's wedding," Javeria said.
She further revealed that during the past two and a half to three years, Adil persistently proposed marriage, but she kept declining. "When I finally agreed, Adil played hard to get, but ultimately, we got married."
The couple tied the knot in March this year, surrounded by close friends and family, and have now been happily married for six months.
It’s worth noting that Javeria’s first marriage was to actor Shimon Abbasi in 1997, and they welcomed their daughter Anzeela shortly after. The couple divorced in 2009, after which Anzeela lived with her mother. Javeria married Adil after successfully seeing her daughter wed in 2023.
