🎯 Main Objective of the Security Guard
The Security Guard is responsible for helping maintain the safety and security of ACTED staff, visitors, office premises, equipment, assets and facilities. The role includes access control, monitoring, patrolling and reporting security-related incidents.
🛡️ Key Responsibilities
- Protect ACTED staff, visitors, premises and assets.
- Control access to the office and prevent unauthorized entry.
- Monitor the entry and exit of staff, visitors and vehicles.
- Maintain visitor and vehicle entry/exit registers.
- Verify identification of visitors before allowing access.
- Conduct regular security patrols around the assigned premises.
- Check gates, doors, windows, fences, lighting and other security measures.
- Report suspicious activity, security threats or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Report theft, damage, unusual activity or security incidents immediately.
- Support emergency response and evacuation procedures when required.
- Protect ACTED equipment, vehicles and other organizational property.
- Maintain accurate security and incident records.
✅ Required Skills & Candidate Profile
- Observational skills – ability to remain alert and notice unusual activity.
- Good presentation – candidates should be well presented and professional.
- Local language literacy – ability to read and write local language(s).
- Experience – minimum 2 years of relevant experience is listed.
- Education – minimum education is listed as Non-Matriculation.
