NRSP NPGP District Badin Organizes Successful Youth Engagement Activities to Raise Awareness

On March 15, 2023, the NRSP NPGP District Badin team organized four youth engagement activities aimed at raising awareness and educating young people and communities in the district.

The first activity, Social Awareness about Malaria, was held at Union Council Budho Qambrani Village Haji Mavo Talpur. The program was attended by Sir Sajid Sahab and DPC Khair Muhammad Jat District Badin. The participants learned about the causes, symptoms, and prevention measures of malaria. Mr. Sajid Sahib, from the NRSP management in Islamabad, also attended the program and shared his valuable insights on the issue.

The second activity, Youth Engagement Activity about Anti-Drug, was arranged at Union Council Budho Qambrani Village Taj Muhammad Rind. The participants learned about the harmful effects of drug addiction on physical and mental health, education, and relationships. The program was successful in engaging young people in the community and spreading awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.

The third activity, Youth Engagement Activity about International Consumers Day, was held at Union Council Kadharo village Dr. Sharif Chandio to celebrate International Consumers Day. The program was attended by Sir Saeed Uddin Sahab, M&E Qasim Khoso, CBO Sumeria Memom, and SO Salam Shah. The participants learned about their rights and responsibilities as consumers and how to make informed decisions while purchasing goods and services. The program also had contributions from Mr. Saeed Uddin, from the NRSP management in Islamabad, who spoke about the importance of consumer rights and protection.

Finally, the fourth activity, Youth Engagement Activity on Early Child Marriage, was organized at Union Council Kadi Kazia, Village Chhuto Junejo. The participants learned about the negative consequences of child marriage on the physical, mental, and social development of young girls. The program aimed to raise awareness about the importance of education and empowerment of young girls to prevent early marriages. The program also had contributions from Mr. Sajid Sahib, from the NRSP management in Islamabad, who emphasized the need for community action to address the issue of early child marriage.

Overall, the NRSP NPGP District Badin team successfully organized four youth engagement activities to promote social awareness, prevent drug abuse, celebrate International Consumers Day, and address the issue of early child marriage. The contributions from Mr. Sajid Sahib and Mr. Saeed Uddin from the NRSP management in Islamabad were highly appreciated, and the programs were successful in engaging young people and educating them about important social issues.
