Job Description

LHDP is seeking a dynamic Database & Documentation Officer (DDO) to join our team in Badin. This position will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth execution of WASH projects by managing project databases, tracking progress, and documenting key activities. Working closely with the Project Team Leader, the DDO will ensure the timely collection, management, and dissemination of critical project data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project databases in MS Excel and Access.
  • Provide monthly progress reports and analysis to the Project Team Leader.
  • Support the development of district-level WASH Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Gather and update project data regularly from field teams.
  • Establish and manage an information database that aids in project decision-making.
  • Train and support field staff on data collection tools and MIS systems.
  • Assist in preparing organizational reports, including monthly and annual reports.
  • Archive project documents and ensure proper filing of reports and materials.
  • Document meeting minutes, memos, and relevant project information.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Project Team Leader or Senior Management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, MIS, Computer Science, or Data Management.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project documentation, data management, analysis, and validation.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and MIS systems.
  • Fluency in English and Sindhi is required.
  • Excellent reporting, coordination, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Knowledge of local/national policies, laws, and international frameworks.

Internal Contacts: Project Team Leader, M&E Officer, Public Health Engineers, and Admin & Finance staff.

External Contacts: Occasional coordination as assigned by the Project Team Leader.
