Washington – In a significant diplomatic move, President Joe Biden has officially recognized the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a major defense partner of the United States. This announcement came after talks with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, where the leaders discussed pressing issues including the ongoing war in Gaza and the escalating instability in the Middle East.
The designation makes the UAE the second country, following India in 2016, to be granted this status, facilitating closer military cooperation through joint training, exercises, and other collaborative efforts.
