Supreme Court Registrar Returns Petition Against Proposed Constitutional Amendment
Islamabad: The Supreme Court Registrar has returned a petition filed against the proposed constitutional amendment after raising objections.
The Supreme Court Registrar has raised eight objections to the petition challenging the proposed constitutional amendment.
One of the objections states that the proposed law has not yet been presented in Parliament. The Registrar further explained that it is the right of the members of the National Assembly and Senate to approve any bill, and they cannot be made parties to the petition. Additionally, it was highlighted that legislation is the exclusive right of the legislature, and no restrictions can be imposed on the legislature regarding law-making.
