Pakistan Army's Formation Commanders' Conference Condemns May 9 Attacks and Resolves to Bring Perpetrators to Justice

The declaration following the 81st Formation Commanders' Conference stated that attempts to distort the truth and hide the true faces of those involved in human rights abuses through illusions and mirages are futile. The overwhelming evidence collected makes it impossible to sustain such falsehoods.

The army chief emphasized that the enemy forces and their supporters are actively striving to create social division and chaos through fake news and propaganda. However, with the nation's full cooperation, these ambitions will be thwarted.

In the strongest terms, the Forum condemned the events of the Black Day on May 9. It reaffirmed its unwavering determination to bring those responsible for attacking the Martyrs' Memorials, Jinnah House, and military installations to justice under the Pakistan Army Act and the Official Secrets Act. Efforts are underway to ensure swift justice for these individuals.

It is important to note that the Formation Commanders Conference is a significant forum of the Pakistan Army. It typically convenes annually to discuss strategic, operational, and training matters, as well as organizational issues.
