Price control committee meeting held to ensure reasonable prices during Ramadan in Badin

Badin: Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Agha Shahnawaz Khan, a price control committee meeting was held with traders to show respect for the month of Ramadan and maintain the prices of daily use items in Durbar Hall. Deputy Commissioner Badin Agha Shahnawaz Khan said that the month of Ramadan Al-Mubarak is a month of benevolence and greatness which every Muslim should respect. He added that during Ramadan, common items should be sold at a reasonable price so that the poor can also afford them. Furthermore, he gave instructions to the town officers to take special care of cleanliness and to conduct mosquito-killing spray in every mosque to facilitate the worshippers. 

The municipal and town officials were also directed to clean the water pools before Ramadan. He instructed that no loading should be done during Suhoor and Iftar times. He also instructed the gas officials to ensure full gas pressure during these times. Additionally, traders should be given a price list by 9 am, and the shopkeepers should put these lists in a prominent place. At least one thrift market must be set up, and all traders assured the deputy commissioner that they will assist the administration in setting up a thrift market. Deputy Commissioner Badin stated that a control room is being built in the district headquarters along with the taluk headquarters, and the number should be posted at the intersections in the form of a panaflex so that every citizen knows the complaint number. He instructed the police department officer to remove hateful wall chalking immediately and prevent the misuse of loudspeakers. 

He strictly instructed the stunt commissioners and police officers of all the concerned taluks to implement the Ramadan Ordinance in any case, and no lapse will be tolerated in the meeting. The meeting was attended by all assistance, Najibur Rahman Jamali district, leaders of trade associations, and officials of other relevant departments.
