CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah |
Karachi (Web Desk) - Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has warned the federal government that if they do not address population concerns, the provincial government may consider withdrawing its support.
During the Karachi Games ceremony, the Chief Minister stated that he had informed the Prime Minister about the need to conduct a census and count everyone accurately. He expressed frustration that data is sent to Islamabad without any feedback given.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that he had written a letter to Ahsan Iqbal regarding the digital population census. He emphasized that if the census is not transparent, the provincial government may reject it.
Regarding the dissolution of the Assemblies, the Chief Minister criticized PTI Chairman Imran Khan, stating that it was done based on one person's words. He declared that his political party would participate in the elections and that a political government would be established in Punjab. He also highlighted the need to address constitutional defects before the end of the National Assembly's term on August 13.
The Chief Minister expressed concern about the country's severe financial crisis and urged the courts to address the constitutional confusion. He commented on the recent events in Lahore and stated that peaceful protests were everyone's right, and they should be answered with love.
Finally, the Chief Minister criticized the Election Commission for the delay in completing the local elections. He expressed disappointment that half of Sindh's elections had taken eight months, and the results should be announced immediately. He confidently declared that they had won the local elections and would be taking the mayorship of Karachi.
