Badin Holds District Wash Forum to Address Health and Sanitation Issues |
Badin, Sindh: The District Wash Forum, organized by the local organization LHDP with the support of Water Aid, was held at the Badin office to discuss health and sanitation issues. The meeting was attended by a large number of local people, including representatives from various government institutions and social organizations.
During the meeting, Deputy Director Social Welfare Murtaza Gohar Salehani emphasized the importance of educating people about health and sanitation to prevent diseases. Education Officer Qadir Bakhsh Talpar, Public Health Officer Mehboob Ali Soomro, Information Officer Sarfraz Samon, District Nutrition Monitoring Officer PPHI Asif Ali Ansari, District Manager Hands Haider Ali Panhwar, LHDP Leader Iqbal Haider, and others also shared their views on the topic.
Participants agreed that more efficient and effective measures are needed to tackle the increasing number of diseases related to poor sanitation and hygiene. They suggested allocating budget to health and sanitation in the city and villages, conducting awareness campaigns, and forming forums to address related issues.
The LHDP, along with other social organizations and government institutions, is making efforts to improve health and sanitation in the district, but more action is needed. The forum was formed under an ongoing project on sanitation, and participants expressed their commitment to finding solutions to the problems related to health and sanitation.
