The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently facing a deadlock with the Punjab government over security expenses for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight's Lahore and Rawalpindi leg. The PCB has reached out to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to help resolve the issue. If the government continues to demand money for security, the matches will have to be shifted to Karachi. The PCB Management Committee and the franchises have agreed not to pay the Rs450 million in terms of security and other expenses to the Punjab government. The PCB has already paid Rs50 million to the Punjab government, a deal brokered with the previous government.
