Actress Nadia Khan has made a bold claim that Halala Centers have been established in major cities of Pakistan, including Karachi, as well as in smaller towns. She further stated that these centers are even being advertised online.
During a TV show, while discussing the portrayal of Halala scenes in the drama Man Jogi, Nadia praised the show's depiction of this critical social issue, stating that it was handled exceptionally well. She emphasized that Halala is an important concern, and noted that Halala Centers have been set up across the country.
In the program, she read out some online advertisements from these centers and pointed out how the sacred practice of Halala is being tarnished. According to her, some of these centers claim that they handle all matters related to Halala, from marriage to divorce, with complete confidentiality, and encourage women seeking Halala to confidently contact them.
Nadia Khan further claimed that she found over a dozen online advertisements for Halala Centers just in Karachi alone, with full addresses, phone numbers, and other contact details openly provided. She expressed concern that these centers are operating openly in various cities, and they are even providing formal addresses for their locations.
She was particularly astonished by the blatant manner in which these supposedly confidential services are being offered, and questioned how these centers continue to operate without fear. The actress raised an important question: how are these people genuinely helping others by establishing and promoting such Halala Centers?
