China has announced the restoration of visas for foreign tourists after three years

Visa Free

China has announced that it will now allow foreign tourists to enter the country, after closing its borders due to the coronavirus pandemic. This ban had been in place for three years, but has now been lifted. The Chinese government stopped issuing visas to foreign tourists in March 2020, which caused significant damage to the country's economy. However, after successfully controlling the spread of the virus, the government has decided to lift travel and tourism restrictions. Visas for foreign tourists will be restored from March 28, and visa-free entry will be granted to those arriving by cruise ships from Shanghai and Hainan Island, as well as tourists from Hong Kong and Macau. The Chinese embassies in Europe will also begin processing visa applications soon. Tourism plays an important role in China's economy, and the closure of tourism due to the pandemic caused significant damage. However, with the reopening of tourism after three years, the Chinese government hopes to attract a large number of foreign tourists. China's GDP is expected to grow by only three percent in 2022, which is the worst rate in nearly 50 years.
